Broken?

Image
In fact, it's the dents scratches and slight imperfections that make beautiful things realer and more personal. You also find that it's what makes them differently stunning in everything they are. Even if you feel like you've failed and are just utterly and completely broken, know you're still colorful and that your color makes just any many markings on a paper and a life than anyone else's. Just because we're broken doesn't mean we can't grow flowers from our cracks. Take the risks and jump off those cliffs until we realize we aren't broken, but everything we need to be. This one mostly speaks for itself, but understand that broken is a sense of feeling that hurts. When someone feels broken, they can feel so many things at once. There is beauty in the strength it takes to remain. Remain happy, remain youthful, remain dedicated, remain you. One of the hardest things everyone struggles with is to remain in this world without su...

An Emptiness of Melancholy

Image
Mel-an-chol-y; noun: A feeling of pensive sadness, typically with no obvious cause. Emptiness in itself is a melancholy. When we don't feel, does it count as hurting? I would say it does solely on the fact that when one is 'empty', we're devoid, tired, and silent. Not everything that hurts draws attention to itself just the way that things in pain don't always scream. They can be silent too. A quote that is all too true. That moment of pure and utter emotion whilst literally feeling the emptiest I've ever felt inside is one of the strangest events I have and will ever experience. For me it was a burning near my heart while my brain and thoughts lay still. This feeling of 'everything and nothing at once' I labeled as an emptiness of melancholy; while sitting at a pool as said emotion enveloped me. And it was a day I will never forget as I sat there with my feet in the water, alone, with only the wind to watch my silence. Join m...

Look Up to the Clouds

Image
Remember to always reach even if it's impossible to achieve. You might be surprised by what you find along the way. Don't give up on your voyage through life. Look up at the clouds and keep trying no matter what's holding you down. Change is a powerful thing. We as humans area always changing, evolving. It's alright to change; sometimes we don't have a choice. Just don't let your change make you take a step back. Let your change grow you wings that let you fly free. Not chains that restrain you from where you want to go. Everyday is a second chance. I like to think it's called a 'second' chance, not only because you're trying again, but because you truly can start over from scratch any second of anyday you want. They say that 'everyday is another chance,' but I say screw that! Every second is the perfect time to start over. It can be as suddenly as a flash flood or as slow as an especially slow driver, ...

The Reality of Loneliness

Image
Loneliness is a horrible heart wrenching feeling. But when you start to feel lonely in a crowd  of people, something's wrong. This one specifically goes to my friend in Seattle so many miles away. Remember that if you ever feel lonely, you're not alone because someone somewhere is feeling what you are feeling too. Loneliness is an epidemic that's caused by society's views. It is also caused by bonds we've had breaking or being postponed. Here I'll say it again. In a world full of people, it has never been easier to be alone. And yet, because there are so many people, there is no such thing as being alone, alone. Get me? Across the oceans someone's feeling lonely right now. Through the center of the Earth on the other side in a country we've never been to; in a culture we don't live in, someone's feeling alone. You're never alone in your loneliness. And that by itself is almost as powerful as being alone. When we're lone...

Thoughts of Being Series:

Image
A word and a question we've all asked at least once for many different reasons. What does why mean to you? Life. An intricacy interconnected with anything. People affect us in ways we wouldn't even imagine. Think about it. What kind of person would you be if you had different influences? Why are we the person we are now? Has anything good, great, or incredible come out of hurting? If so, was it worth it? Would you go through it again if you had a choice? What's the real difference between emotions and thoughts? When you THINK of something sad doesn't it make you FEEL sad? When you're happy is it because your brain just experienced it or are you thinking about something happy? People always use the heart and mind as differences when talking about choosing choices. "Which should we go with? the logical one or the emotional one?" they'll ask. I personally try to balance my decisions weighed over both my heart an...
